HOW WE DO IT
What sets us apart is how we work.
We lead with partnership. By prioritizing cultural safety, supporting Nations in navigating funding, and strengthening local capacity, we ensure every project creates impact that endures long after completion.
While our corporate values express who we are, these four pillars capture how we work alongside Nations to deliver projects — and what truly sets Stone River apart.
CULTURAL SAFETY
Cultural safety guides the way we engage from the very beginning. We open conversations with respect, follow the right protocols, and ensure that Elders and community voices are present throughout the process. Every step is designed to honour traditions while moving projects forward.
CAPACITY BUILDING
For us, success is measured by what remains after a project is complete. We focus on hiring locally, mentoring staff, and strengthening community-owned businesses. Each project becomes a chance to build skills, confidence, and long-term independence.
FUNDING & GRANT SUPPORT
We work closely with Nations to turn community vision into fundable projects. That means helping identify opportunities, preparing applications, and aligning proposals with funder expectations. Our role is to bridge technical requirements with practical plans so communities can secure the resources they need.
PARTNERSHIPS
True partnership means showing up, following through, and sharing accountability. We bring expertise and networks to the table in ways that amplify community leadership and priorities.
